01 Jan Happy New Year from our team at ArlandCom!
Happy New Year!
A new year represents new opportunities, and that is certainly true at ArlandCom. 2016 is slated to be one of the busiest, if not the busiest, in our eight year history and we could not be more excited. But before we look ahead at the many things to come and where we are going, it’s a good idea to look back on 2015, a year in which ArlandCom experienced immense growth.
Our mission at ArlandCom is to tell our clients’ stories, but in the process, our company’s story has added a few chapters of its own. In May, Joshua and I spent a memorable week in Shanghai for the first-ever CES Asia where we captured interviews from exhibitors and communicated the excitement of the inaugural event through the medium of video. In October we took on similar tasks, venturing to France for CES Unveiled Paris. Over the last six months, we said goodbye to friend and colleague Blake Lofgren (who has embarked on a sales career) and we welcomed three new members to our team – Production Coordinator Nicole Wilson, Account Director Sam Klemet, and Administrative Assistant Kellie Beadle.
This expansion now gives Arland Communications more than 30 years of collective communications experience, and our five-member team is ready for new challenges.
The foundation of ArlandCom is deep-rooted relationships and we’ve had the honor of developing with outstanding clients such as LG Electronics, DISH, the Advanced Television Systems Committee, Pearl TV, and the Consumer Technology Association. We are excited to see those relationships continue to grow and are motivated to build on new relationships that blossomed in 2015 including software firm Central Logic, ACTIVEON action cameras and the Indiana Broadcasters Association – where I have assumed the role of Executive Director and ArlandCom will serve as IBA’s association management firm.
So needless to say, the past year has been a banner one for Arland Communications, but we are not allowing ourselves to sit back and soak in the success. We are getting right to work in 2016. The tone of our 2016 will be set January 6 – 9, at CES 2016 in Las Vegas.
This is a milestone CES for me, personally. It will mark my 25th year at the annual consumer technology show and Arland Communications will be working with more than a dozen clients to show off the latest and greatest in technology. Several weeks later, our team will be back in Vegas for the NAB Show, the world’s largest electronic media show rooted in the great work of the National Association of Broadcasters.
These opportunities allow us to keep a pulse on the next exciting waves of technology and to share how our clients are helping to drive change.
The New Year is traditionally highlighted with resolutions and ArlandCom is no different. With our new, more robust team, we expect to do more and be even more responsive for our clients. Joshua and Nicole will lead the charge on expanding and enhancing our video and creative services activities, producing unique, quality content. Sam and I will work together on the public relations side of things, helping companies best tell their story and introduce their products and ideas to the world through media campaigns and event management. Together, our team will work to enhance the Indiana Broadcasters Association.
Also new in 2016, you’ll hear and see more about what we are doing at ArlandCom. Through blog posts like this one, an enhanced presence on social media, and videos that will give you behind-the scenes views, you will get a better understanding of what we do every day and why we love what we do.
It’s a new year, but we remain committed to connecting new products and services to consumers and clients, building new connections for our clients, and reaching audiences through media campaigns, public relations, and video production.
The calendar may read 2016, but our core mission at Arland Communications has stayed constant. The only difference is greater opportunities and higher expectations – and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Happy New Year from our team at ArlandCom!
