31 Mar Klemet Produces NCAA Champion Podcast
Arland Communications is excited to add the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as one of our clients, and we’re producing a new podcast called “Sports Section” which is available now on iTunes and PRX.
“Sports Section” brings together sounds, stories, and voices to inspire, empower, and make listeners think about the unique connection between Americans and intercollegiate athletics. Focused less on the X’s and O’s of college athletics, the podcast tells the stories of those who compete such as a blind cross country runner and a nun who works as a kicking coach for a college football team.
Produced by ArlandCom Account Director Sam Klemet, the content for the NCAA podcast originates from the pages of Champion, a quarterly magazine published by the NCAA. ArlandCom transforms the written stories and produces them into audio features and interviews for the 25-30 minute episodes.
Listeners are introduced to the stories of student-athletes and coaches as told by the writers and editors of Champion, as well as first-person accounts.
Sam serves as host for the episodes that launched in March. Each has a unique theme and new episodes are available every two weeks.
